Purpose of the Role
The eCommerce Web Developer will work alongside other members of Development and QA to develop, enhance and maintain eCommerce solutions for the Retail sector. They will work in a small team and must be able to work well as part of a team and on their own.
Line Management
The role will report to the Senior eCommerce Developer.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for the role will include:
* developing high quality software based on the .Net Framework;
* ensuring that appropriate levels of communication are used;
* adhering to the processes and standards in place within the business;
* Ensuring that work is delivered on time and to the quality required by the client.
* The Developer will be responsible for problem solving technical support issues, developing small client services tasks and maintaining client environments.
Key Performance Indicators
Key success criteria for the role will be:
* Work delivered on time, to specification and budget
* Work free from bugs and errors
* Effective, successful and maintained problem solving
Training to be given
Will be determined on an ad hoc basis - we are happy to provide training where it is needed.
Internal sessions will be given on Problem Solving & Commercial Awareness, these will be done during the first week of operation.

Required Skills
* A proven track record of developing .Net web applications
* Experience of developing commercial web applications using the Microsoft .Net framework versions 1.1 to 3.5 (C# only, no VB.NET)
* Experience using Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 / 2007
* Experience of developing in AJAX, CSS and HTML
* Experience using Javascript and SQL
* Microsoft SQL Server 2000 / 2008, TSQL stored procedures, triggers and views and a thorough understanding of SQL Server administration
* Knowledge of EpiServer Content Management System, jQuery and Omniture Analytics
* Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Presentation Foundation
* Familiar with Microsoft"s Solutions Architecture
* Problem solving and analytical skills
Required Experience
* Experience of developing .Net web applications within a commercial environment
* Experience of using Javascript, .Net, Commerce Server and SQL
* Experience of working with eCommerce companies, clients or suppliers
