| Skill set | - Unix Administrator(Solaris & Linux) UNIX Admin (Solaris & Linux): Experience in providing escalation support of the global production and development environments whilst working shift, monitoring chat requests and ticket queues.
- Level 3 Incident management of issues impacting the UNIX (Solaris and Linux) environments; including HW and SW related issues.
- Specialist knowledge of some or all of the following products: Oracle Solaris 8 / 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, VERITAS Product Suite: File system, Volume Manager, Cluster Server, Netbackup.
- Solaris Disk Suite, Solaris SPARC/X86 HW, HP DL Hardware, SAN/NAS Storage Products. UNIX –Security: Very strong UNIX skills (Solaris and Linux).
- Strong scripter, with a focus on scripting for automation and end-user web interfaces. Perl and shell are desired, alternatives negotiable.
- Extensive background managing Kerberos for authentication as well as NIS, DNS and LDAP for identification.
- Privilege escalation using Power Broker and secure password storage using Power Keeper are a plus. In-depth understanding of UNIX infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment and its management.
- Some background in Middleware and Java technologies is a plus.
